Jeff Rann Safaris supports the decision by the Republic of Botswana to lift the 2014 hunting moratorium. We applaud the significant step forward for Botswana’s science-based wildlife conservation policy by deciding to lift the hunting moratorium. The new Botswana controlled hunting program provides significant benefits to rural communities living amongst destructive and dangerous wildlife like Elephants and Leopards. The importation of Botswana Elephants into the United States is undetermined; we urge our hunters to engage with us in regards to allocating Elephant quota. More than ever before, the management authorities and people of Botswana need our support.
